Min-Bin Lin is a PhD candidate in the area of Operations and Supply Chain Management at Kühne Logistics University since September 2018. He is conducting his study under the supervision of Professor. Dr. Asvin Goel. His research interests focus on business process management, resource allocation and scheduling, and heuristic optimization.
Min-Bin received his Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from the National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan in July 2018 and his Bachelor’s Degree in International Management from the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology in Taiwan in June 2015. He was on exchange at the School of Business and Economics at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin in Germany from September 2017 to July 2018.
Min-Bin’s Master Thesis was “A Quantile-Based Simulation-Optimization Framework for Stochastic Resource Allocation Problems” which built a heuristic algorithm in conjunction with a discrete-event simulation model to effectively attack stochastic discrete resource allocation problems with a quantile performance measure. During his study, he has completed a marketing assistant internship in Thailand and two production management internships in Taiwan and China.
